Birmingham International Airport, 30-minute drive to Swinfen Hall Hotel by private transfer. East Midlands Airport at Castle Donington is a 40-minute car ride.

Located 2 miles from Lichfield City/Trent Valley rail station with connections from London, Birmingham, Manchester, all hubs connecting the UK rail network. From Lichfield City station, the drive journey to our hotel is 7 minutes and 8 minutes respectively from Trent Valley.

Accessible to Swinfen on the UK motorway network, close to Central Birmingham with museums, shopping and 4 Michelin star restaurants. 1 ½ hour drive from Manchester and 2-hour drive from London. Local historic town of Lichfield and the potteries and local attractions of the Staffordshire region.

Having worked in Michelin star kitchens across London, the Head Chef brings a unique style of bold flavours combined with refined elegance and a modern twist.

Unforgettable dining starts with fresh, seasonal and high welfare ingredients. The experienced team of culinary ‘foodies’ diligently source from the finest local suppliers and grow seasonal fruit and vegetables from the hotel's Victorian walled garden and fruit orchards. The hotel also rears its own wild venison – straight from the estate to plate with almost no food miles.

Samuel Johnson Birthplace Museum pays tribute to the writer who that was born in Lichfield. Discover the family home where he spent the first 27 years of his life.

The National Memorial Arboretum is a museum that hosts over 250 events annually. The monument pays tribute to those who have lost their life on duty since the Second World War. It visited by 300,000 people every year. 15-minute car drive from our hotel
