Idyllicly nestled in an ancient forest, Jungle house presents itself as the perfect location for celebrating the outdoors, no matter the weather forecast.

In Japan, they practise Shinrin – yoku or forest bathing. The Norwegians follow the concept of friluftsliv which translates loosely to “open-air living” and is all about connecting with nature, and taking time to slow down and appreciate the outdoors. We all know how good being in nature can make us feel. We have known it for centuries. The sounds of the forest, the scent of the trees, the sunlight playing through the leaves, the fresh, clean air — these things give us a sense of comfort. They ease our stress and worry, help us to relax and to think more clearly. Being in nature can restore our mood, give us back our energy and vitality, refresh and rejuvenate us.

For the spiritual minded, Jakhu Mandir, the ancient temple dedicated to the Hindu deity Hanuman sits atop Jakhu Hill, an exhilarating 500 mts walk up from Jungle House. According to the Ramayana, Lord Hanuman stopped to rest at the location while searching for the Sanjivni booti to revive Lakshmana.

The more adventurous may wish to retrace the steps of famous authors and raconteurs such as Rudyard Kipling, to explore the summer capital of “ the jewel in the crown” of Empire or enjoy a round of golf at the historic Naldehra Golf Club - one of India’s oldest and most scenic golf courses.

Jungle House will assist guests with booking tee off times, arranging caddies and rental equipment.”
